‘One the best 2yo performances of the season so far’

We’re finally starting to see horses perform to their potential, with a treble in the past few days. Commissar smashed his rivals at HQ to earn massive praise from the RUK team (“one of the best 2yo performances of the season so far”) and spectators alike. His 5l win in the Future Stars’ maiden was powerful, and he had learned his job well last time when chasing home Magic City. We’re looking into Royal Ascot for him, but which race he’ll contest remains to be seen. He ran a sound race over 5f, but he wasn’t stopping.

Vicona landed an interesting maiden at Bath, which we were confident she would. A few of her opponents were quite well thought of, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on their progress this season. Flashbang ran a cracker to take her maiden, making all to score by a few lengths. Although she won well, she may not be back on the track for a few weeks.

Moynahan is heading back to Goodwood, which he seems to really handle. We’re hopeful of a good show, and the same is the case for Mons Calpe who goes to Windsor in search of success. It’s a potentially tricky race, but he’s been working well.

We’ve also got a filly by the name of Perfect Day, whose pedigree is very exciting. Out of the talented Yesterday and sired by Holy Roman Emperor, we’re hoping for some memories with this one. Depending on how she works on Tuesday, she’ll be going to Ascot or Nottingham.

Rimth has put on 8 kilos since the Fred Darling, and has been working up to scratch. She’s really exciting us this season, and she’s bang on target to give Soumillon plenty to smile about on the big day. She’s in fantastic form.
