  1. It is a pity the new owner decided not to leave the horse with existing trainer. It was generally the policy for horses not to be moved in 2 and 3 year old career. large operations buying up good horses reduces the competition and spectacle of racing.

  2. i agree i know thats life and buisness in general, and suppose the owner made a nice profit ,costs alot to own and have a horse in training.
On the other hand you may never have a maybe/good horse so if you got the money to buy one ,why sell it.
Kinda think its sad in general this happens at least could keep the horse with same trainer.
think when you see the big owners with there own studs 100,s of horss in training buying up potenially good horses its sad maybe pathetic really, suppose its buisness like i say to them ,buy maybe number of horses that have shown good starting form and hope one of them goes on from there. Must depress trainers even if they not say so in public.

  3. If the yard really wanted to keep the horse then surely John Hay could have purchased it?

  4. @^^ Well for one thing this horse won a early season maiden at newmarket ,so yes it had shown it had potential ,but so do alot of other horses at this early stage ,some go on to better things some do not thats a fact ,so it is a risk buying these sort of horses on the basis of that one run.
The hays have horses not just in this yard and they i suppose cant go round buying every horse that wins these early season maidens and they have spent a huge amount of money already these season on two year olds plus those purchases/shares of the Aiden o brien trained runners.
Anyways hope this horse does go to better things for the new owners will keep a watch out for it

  5. Quite early in the season for Godolphin to be making a purchase. They usually wait until later for proven pattern class form.

Must be confident of a good showing at Royal Ascot, perhaps they are short of the more forward juvenile type?
