Listed entries for Whatcombe today

Silverheels worked well on Saturday and is on schedule for the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte on 1st November.

Gifted Girl and Swingland are both being entered for the Fillies Listed race at Newmarket on Saturday. One likes soft ground and the other firm.

Both maiden fillies ran with promise at Newbury and will be better three year olds.

Cheherazad will get the ground at Kempton and should go close on Wednesday.

Circumvent ran well from draw 15 at Newbury and would have been closer if he had had a good draw as he races prominently.

I wish the jockeys success, not only do they deserve to get their stick rules exactly right as it is important for the future, but I admire their courage to have a go while the rest of the industry "fiddles while Rome burns".

Dating Website??

Silverheels has been entered in the Horris Hill but is likely to run in the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte on the 1st November.

We have several maidens at Newbury, none expected to win.

Humungosaur who ran a little disappointingly at Pontefract may run at Brighton, partly to try and win a racing post bonus race.

Gifted Girl and Swingland are both fit and well, the Newmarket Listed fillies race on 29Th October is their target.

Rimth, after her reasonable run in the Challenge Stakes has gone to stud.

Circumvent who's optimum trip is 1m1f, runs in the class 2 handicap at Newbury on Saturday 22ND October.

Mons Calpe is unpredictable but wins one or two most years, he likes Kempton so we will run there again.

Moynahan is fit and well but is hard to win with. He has a good draw at Kempton on Wednesday and with luck in running should run well.

It is out with the old and in with the new time!

We bought ten yearlings last week they were good value for the money. The Maktooms distort the market, if they are not on the horse some value can be had, we spent from £10,000 to £150,000.

The whip has been an awful own goal, can you imagine the jockeys looking over their shoulders in a twenty horse race to see where the furlong pole is. The fines are comparable to being hanged for sheep stealing, lets hope sense prevails. More horsemen are needed at the top.

On the social front, I have been told to say that there are also some very attractive widows in the East Garston area as well as the divorcees. In a development from the Racing Post Dikler, Adrian Clegg has been seen walking his dog in East Garston recently.

I also gather there has been a supper convened to put to use some of their talents and expertise (maybe a hockey team or something like that).

Silverheels is fine after his good run at Redcar and is a possible for the Horis Hill.

Gifted Girl & Swingland worked on Saturday, both are more three year old types but there is a nice Listed race at Newmarket which if all is well could be on the agenda.

Rimth ran a little flat in the Challenge Stakes, she will now go to stud.

Moynahan ran well at Goodwood on Sunday, he should have been placed but as is his want, he got no run only beat a couple of lengths.
Circumvent ran well at York, a fast mile is just too short for him. He could go to Dubai. There is a valuable Newbury handicap in two weeks which could be his next start.

We managed to buy a cheap Excellent Art colt at Book 1 of Tattersalls which we are syndicating. He is from Strategic Prince's family. It is only £75 to join & £125 per month (1 year only). Meanwhile the Maktooms bought most of the nice horses and their various guests (IE Agents).

We will try and buy some value at the sales this week. We are very pleased with what we have bought so far.

Racing will be watching the whip issue this week. I agree with most of it but the jockey penalties are too severe and I think they should be accumulative.

Our Two year olds perform well!

Our stock last year which we bought at the various sales performed very well as two year olds.

Commissar - Won a Newmarket maiden and was sold for £500,000 costing only £32,000.

Silverheels - Won maiden and his £10,000 bonus and was Group and Stakes placed 5 times earning over £50,000 he was also subject to bids offered abroad, he cost £31,500

Overpowered - Won his maiden & £10,000 bonus also won at Newmarket easily and was subject to big offers for Hong Kong when unfortunately he had an acident in the box. He cost £13,650

Humungosaur - Has run four sound races including being stakes placed in Deauville (18,000 euro for third) He is big and bred to be a three year old, he cost £54,600.

The Big Guns are out this week!!

Silverheels ran a great race on ground that was faster than he likes and maybe a furlong too short. The Horis Hill is a possibility.

Humungosaur runs today, maybe on ground a bit too fast but he is fit and well and is a progressive sort. Probably a better three year old.

Swingland and Gifted Girl are on hold owing to the fast ground.

Orange Ace is moderate and we hope he wins and gets sold at Leicester.

Rimth runs in the Challenge Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. Not much has gone right for her since she won, draws and she missed the break at Doncaster, she is fit and well.

Cheherazad likes the fast ground which she has not had in her last 2 starts, she should win a race.

Circumvent came out of the Cambrideshire in good form. The weights should suit at York on Friday although 1m1f seems to be his best trip.

Mons Calpe runs tonight at Windsor but is unreliable.

It's great when there is a freak result in a big race, it only goes to show tat racing is not cut and dry. The big guns all got put in their places and is was a victory for optimism.

One or two form lines have been exposed, also the horses have shown their limitation. The mare Snow Fairy ran a great race but the rest look very moderate and it looks like a poor crop. We needed Pour Moi for a true comparison.

I think the BHA have got it right with the whip policy. If it is not addresses and the public perception is that racing is cruel to horses it could be banned outright. Something is going to win every race and it is better to win without being thrashed in the process, although I think it applies to jumping more than flat.

If anyone is looking for a companion, there are at least ten attractive and available divorcees in East Garston!
